Garlic Bread

In the mood for a savoury snack or a tasty side dish? Graham’s spreadable butter makes for a great addition to this family favourite.

Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F/180C/gas mark 4.

Step 2

Cut the break into 1 inch thick slices. Mix the butter, garlic and parsley together in a small bowl.

Step 3

Spread the butter mixture over the bread slices. Place on a sturdy baking pan (one that can handle high temperatures, not a cookie sheet) and heat in the oven for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over bread if you want. Return to oven on the highest rack. Broil on high heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges of the bread begin to toast and the cheese (if you are using cheese) bubbles.

 

Top Tip:

Watch very carefully while broiling. The bread can easily go from untoasted to burnt.

  • Loaf of Italian or French bread (unsliced)
  • ½ cup Graham’s spreadable butter
  • 2 large cloves of garlic, smashed and minced
  • 1 heaped tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
