Quark Smoothie
The ideal way to incorporate some of your 5 a day. Tangy fruit flavours blend perfectly with the low fat, high protein goodness of Graham’s Quark.
Most shop bought granola contains huge amounts of sugar; making your own is cheaper and means you know exactly what you are eating. This one is sweetened with honey and the juice of an orange. and the jumbo oats will keep you going all morning!

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160*
Step 2
Leave the plums whole, and place them in a deep saucepan. Fill the saucepan with enough water to come a third of the way up the plums.
Step 3
Add to the saucepan the honey, orange zest and juice and vanilla extract. Put the pan on to the hob over a medium heat to simmer. Let the plums simmer for fifteen minutes, turning halfway through.
Step 4
Remove the plums from the pot and set aside to cool, but hold on to the poaching juices.
Step 5
In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Pour over 100ml of the poaching juices. Stir to coat the nuts and oats well.
Step 6
Spread this mixture out on to a baking tray, in one even layer. Bake the granola in the oven for ten minutes.
Step 7
Remove, turn the granola gently with a fork. It should be starting to toast. Place the granola back in the oven.

After ten minutes, remove again and set aside to cool.
Step 9
To serve, half the plums and place two halves in each bowl. Top with a tablespoon of Graham’s Dairy quark, and a good sprinkling of the toasted coconut granola.

30g raisins
30g brazil nuts, roughly chopped
20g pistachios, roughly chopped
