On Tuesday 16th June 2015 staff and project team members hosted a public exhibition at Blairdrummond community hall on proposals for our new dairy processing, research and training facility in Stirling.
The exhibition followed a number of community council meetings held during the spring and was intended to update interested parties on the project, with a specific focus on the context for the new facility, why we are promoting the Hill of Drip farm, the emerging design concept and technical work underway. A key aim of the day was to explore issues from neighbours and the local community.
We were delighted and grateful that so many people came and shared their views, which will help enormously in the ongoing design and project testing. Issues raised include traffic generation and access, noise, lighting, heritage and design.
Next steps are to progressing technical assessments and further consultation to inform the submission of a planning application during the late summer/early autumn.
