Graham’s The Family Dairy Launches Healthiest Protein Yogurt Drink in the UK
Graham’s The Family Dairy, Scotland’s largest independent dairy has launched a brand
new product to meet an increased demand for naturally nutrient rich protein products with
a protein yogurt drink. Designed for ‘on the go’ consumers who want to make the most of
their workouts, in contrast to competitors the products are fat and sweetener free making
them currently the healthiest in the UK market .
With all the milk originating from family run Scottish farms, the Protein 25 yogurt drinks
come in four flavours: Salted Caramel, Strawberry, Vanilla, and Peach flavour naturally rich
in protein and a tasty way to get more from your workout. Each 330ml serving provides 25g
of protein which exceeds the minimum 20g required per meal for muscle recovery and in
addition the drinks contain live bacteria which is good for gut health.
The new products have recently hit the shelves of national supermarket chains across the
UK, and will be available in over 100 Scotmid stores throughout Scotland. This expansion to
the protein range comes after the Scottish dairy commissioned research with the top sports
university in the world, Loughborough and YouGov to find out how much consumers knew
about protein at a time of record high consumption and found that people who exercise
don’t know when, what or how much protein to consume.
Robert Graham, Managing Director of Graham’s The Family Dairy, said:
“Protein 25 Drinks are the latest addition to our popular high-protein range, offering a handy,
natural protein source in a great tasting drink. Our recent work with Loughborough University
showed that people who exercise often don’t know when, how and why they should consume
protein. That’s why we have expanded our protein range to make it easier for busy people
whether they love yoga, going to the gym or running to get their high protein boost to make the
most of any workout and help to recover.
“Many people don’t know that for optimal muscle recovery post-exercise, consuming about 20
grams of protein within 30 minutes is key. Our high-protein drink fills this need, providing easy
consumption on-the-go for those looking to make the most of their workout knowing exactly
what level of protein they are consuming with the natural goodness of dairy for a fat-free,
high-protein flavourful drink.”
The family run business has launched a 30-day challenge aimed at highlighting the
benefits of consuming protein to aid in exercise recovery. Powered by Graham’s, supported
by Loughborough University, is free to sign up to and everyone who registers will receive
expert advice and exclusive opportunities to take part in exercise classes sponsored by
Graham’s Family Dairy at participating fitness facilities across the UK.
