Banana Bread

Really easy bake that the grandchildren love. This great family recipe takes just 15 minutes to prepare and 35 mins in the oven.

Instructions:

Step 1

Cream the butter and the sugar.

Step 2

Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture – beat well.

Step 3

Mix the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and pinch of salt.

Step 4

Then add dry ingredients alternately with the mashed banana.

Step 5

Divide equally between the 3 greased and lined loaf tins.

Step 6

Bake at 180 degrees C for 35 mins.

Step 7

Remove from oven when golden brown – use skewer to test centre isn’t still gooey.

Ingredients:

  • 5 oz Graham’s unsalted butter
  • 10 oz caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 15 oz self raising flour
  • 4 level teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 level teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • pinc of salt
  • 6 bananas (mashed)
