Graham’s The Family Dairy has been named number 1 Scottish dairy brand in the official brand review for 2015 produced by Kantar Worldpanel UK. And significantly, Graham’s is now ranked number 3 overall out of 100 Scottish brands, a considerable leap from their position as number 7 in 2014.
Now sitting ahead of brands such as Wiseman, Mackies and Mclelland, Graham’s The Family Dairy – which produces a wide range of award winning, locally produced dairy produce from milk, cheese, butter, cream, yogurt and ice-cream – chalks this success down to a keen focus on core brand values and high quality products.
“This is a huge achievement for us, and one that we’re incredibly proud of,” said Carol Graham, Marketing Director for Graham’s The Family Dairy.
“The fact that we’ve overtaken our larger competitors suggests that there is consumer appetite for the values that we place such importance on – we’re a genuine family business with farming in our blood. The quality and taste of our products will always be paramount to us, we always strive to innovate, and we are proud of our provenance. To achieve the positions of number 1 Scottish dairy brand, and number 3 Scottish brand overall is something that the whole family is absolutely delighted about.”
“Whilst we are so proud of what we’ve achieved we will never take anything for granted. We still have lots to do in our home market, but we’re also ambitious and have an eye to expanding our range across the UK, whilst the export market is also appealing. This year has been exciting – but there’s much more to come from us in the months ahead.”
From their family farm in the heart of Scotland, the award-winning business has grown through three generations of dairy farmers to become one of Scotland’s greatest food and drink successes, since setting up in Bridge of Allan in 1939. With a steadfast commitment to the very best quality produce, they constantly strive to innovate and have this year launched a new low fat yogurt range (with the flavours being influenced by the children in the family) and an exciting new range of luxury ice-cream.
More than half the population in Scotland buys Graham’s products. This year, their spreadable butter became Scotland’s fastest growing brand; their Jersey Gold Top milk remains a firm favourite with sales up by 22%; cheese sales are up 70%; and ice-cream sales are up 66%, helped by a summer tour in the new Graham’s ice-cream van.
